How to connect your uk.app name
Choose your setup: dynamic DNS, Vercel custom domain or GitHub Pages website.
- Choose and register a name. Check availability above, sign in and pay for annual registration. A newly registered name can show a parking page until you configure it.
- Set up DNS. Use A or AAAA for a server IP, or the CNAME target supplied by your hosting provider. Hosting presets help enter the appropriate records; your provider may also require a verification TXT record.
- Enable HTTPS and check the result. Add the hostname to your hosting account, issue a certificate and use the domain health check in your dashboard. DNS caches may take time to update.

Questions before you register
Am I buying a domain or a subdomain?
You are registering the right to use a name such as yourname.uk.app under uk.app, subject to the terms of service. This is a subdomain registration, not ownership of uk.app or a separate top-level domain.
Can I replace the parking page with my home server?
Yes. Change the DNS records in your dashboard to your server's public IP and configure that hostname on the server. If your connection uses carrier-grade NAT, DNS alone will not make the server reachable. You need an inbound connection method supported by your network.
Does registration include website hosting or a certificate for my server?
Registration includes DNS management and a parking page. Your website runs on your chosen hosting or server, where you must configure HTTPS. ACME DNS-01 support can help your certificate client validate the name, including wildcard names.
Can I add my name as a separate Cloudflare zone?
Do not assume that a provider will accept a uk.app subdomain as an independent zone or registrable domain. Check its requirements before purchasing. Connecting a custom hostname to a hosting service is different from adding a standalone DNS zone. See our service transparency page.
